Beware of Swiss Taco's

Part of initiation was the unkowingly wearing of miscellaneous sayings referring to eating Swiss Taco's and having gas. Loni wore hers until an attendant at the gas station pointed it out to her. Hillary, Jen and Connie lucked out because they left before these were distributed. Thanks for being a good sport Loni!!

It was decided to try out an idea for next year. Giving someone we don't know a Swiss Taco saying. Now this has to be done very carefully as to not alert the possible subject. Here Sharise is scoping out the situation.

Now with the subject selected, we have to wait for just the right moment to apply the sticker.

Done! Sticker applied to unknown person.

Taking a rest

Swiss Fun

The Newbies: Loni, Connie, Jen and Hillary

One of our long time members Mandy, was not able to attend Swiss Girls Day Out because she has a bow business (Bows and Bobbies) that she entered into Swiss Days. So instead of shopping this year she was busy sweating and making sales. We hope she had a very successful weekend, however we don't wish it to be too successful otherwise she might do it again next year instead of coming with us. And we all know which is more fun!!
(I feel like a giant in this bunch, wear bigger shoes girls)

Alisha & Mandy K.

This is Loni, applying the smiley faces on Trudi's toes. There is never
too much fun to be had with the Swiss Girls.

One thing we don't have pictures of but is a hilarious story. While laying in bed and talking Hillary & I (Alisha) heard something outside the window. So we worked our way over in the pitch black to the window to try and see what it was. No luck too dark, so I told Hill to turn on the light, then it was too bright. We decided to go out to the kitchen to look out the window. Flipping on all of the lights accidentally, we made it to the window. I put my head up to the window then turned to see Hillary put her hands up, which scared the crap out of me and made me scream (her hands looked like big animal horns!) I turned to run, ran into her, she ran into a chair all while we were both screaming back to the bedroom. Jen had come out of the bedroom and was hiding to scare us, however Loni had come down and got the scare instead. Momalou was hollering at us to keep it down cuz she was trying to sleep (jokingly of course)it was only 3am. Needless to say we scared the animal off with the lights, screaming and laughing. You had to be there to fully appreciate the situation, it was freaking hilarious!!

While you were sleeping

First off we would like to thank Loni for the use of her cabin, it was perfect!!
It is stated in the pledge that if you go to sleep before one am you are subject to pranks. Hillary and Jen were afraid that their new $50 bra's were going to end up in the freezer so they made sure not to go to sleep before 3:00 am and slept with their bra's in their pillows for protection. Hey you don't want to chance it right.

This is what may happen to you if you fall asleep before one am. Your unmentionables could end up in the freezer for a little crisping up.

As well as getting happy toes (that would be smiley faces on your pretty painted toe nails)
And possibly some art work on your face or toothpaste in your hand with a little tickle in your ear for a minty facial, given by yourself.

Initiation

We have four new members this year: Jen, Hillary, Loni and Connie. We are always excited to have new members and luckily our new members are good natured. Initiation is a must, so of course our novice members as well as some of the veterans had to do our make your self sneeze trick. Everyone was given a hair pin to stick in their nose to make them sneeze and the first to sneeze is the winner. Congrats to Jen for rocking it, she concentrated so hard to do and was our winner.

2008 Swiss Days

This year we have been invited to stay at Loni's (a new member) cabin in Park City. I am told that sleeping space is limited, UNLESS some of us wouldn't mind sleeping out on the deck that overlooks the beautiful landscape. Besides who really sleeps anyway? So if you don't mind sleeping somewhere other than on a bed please let us know. We will provide you with a map to find the cabin at a later date.

The cost for lodging, drinks, snacks and food at the cabin will be $18.
We ask that you please have your money to us no later than August 20th.

Itinerary:

Thursday-
We will be going up to the cabin at approx. 7:00 (we will grab dinner on our way up)
-Initiation of new members
-Reading of the Association of Sisters and Friends pledge
-Games with prizes

Friday-
Head up to Swiss Days in Midway first thing in the morning
-Eat breakfast at Swiss Days
-Eat a Swiss taco for lunch (of course, this is tradition)
-Shop till we can't possibly fit another thing in any of the cars
-Dinner back at the cabin

Saturday-
We may need to go back up to Swiss Days for purchases that some have made that others are jealous of, have to have or just want really bad. So we may do that or here are some other options: Shop at the outlets in Park City or play games

Please vote if you are interested in doing a craft this year, if so we will get that planned and let you know the cost. (There is a spot to vote on the left hand side of this blog)

Scrappin'

Here is Sharise cropping away at her photo's.
Of course we stayed up really late...
you know until the sun is about to come up.
It is a must to maximize the time we have to scrap,
so we can't waste time with sleep.

Trudi is truckin' along as well. She actually got her scrap booking stuff out this time. She usually has several other projects that she works on, but hey we don't really care. We are just glad she is there. Of course we had tons of food, you can't have scrap booking with out lots of snacks and food. Trudi tried out some new recipes on us, they were super tasty.

This is what the kids were up to while they had minimal supervision. Dressing up and practicing for their exclusive dance performance.

This is the ultimate thing for kids. Whip out the Nintendo DS and play against each other. They have a ball playing with everyone. Well worth the investment, it occupies them for a few minutes so our scrap booking isn't interrupted by kids needing food, drinks or anything else.

Anytime we can squeeze in a time to crop we do. It was fun with Trudi, Alisha, Sharise and Sandy.

We hope to see more of you at the next crop!

We are the pigtail chicks. It makes you feel young and hip sometimes to go out of your box and do something different. Takes you back to the days when you felt like a hottie. Sometimes it is good to get away from being Mommy and act like a rambunctious teenager all over again. Let's act giddy and be silly!

Here is the movie theater room. Totally awesome.
If only we could all have one of these in our house.

Jamie is checking in with the Hubby.

Momma-Lou has passed out from all of the
action. It can be very dangerous to sleep at
any time. As proven in years passed. You
just never know what might happen to you
while you are catching some zzzzzz's!

Check out the crib. This is a house that Sharise's brother-in-law owns in Park City. This house is unbelievable. It has five floors, so of course an elevator would be in order. It was great for getting all of our stuff from our cars to our rooms. There is a bowling alley, pool table, movie theater room, hot tub and lots of bedrooms and a lot of bathrooms (which is important when you have a lot of women staying in one place).
This is the gourmet kitchen for all the food that we MUST stuff our faces with.

This is the outside patio with fireplace for chillin'.

We are unable to post any pic's from the hot tub due to graphic content.
