Swiss Girls Day Out 2009

This year's attendee's are: Mommalou, Mandy, Trudi, Debbi, Alisha, Sharise, Jen, Hillary, Loni, Leslie (not pictured: Jamie and Kristie)

Just like any other year we maximized our fun. Playing games,
pranks, shopping, eating, giggling and initiating new members,
however for the first time ever we had anew member leave and not
come back after the first day. She had a booth at Swiss Daysand had
been working hard and was exhausted so when she was given
a jar of lipgloss that actually had Orajel in it she was
not amused (as part of her initiation).
Perhaps she was just too tire to deal with a bunch of silly girls.
We apologize for any embarrassment she may
have had from her lips and tongue going numb.

Our other new member Leslie was a true trooper! She was so
good natured with all of four little initiation things we had her do.
Unknowingly brushing her teeth with toothpaste mixed with Orajel
(she said after 3 times brushing she was getting used to her
mouth being numb), wearing a sticker on her back while
she was shopping at Swiss Days and putting a pencil up her nose
to make herself sneeze.

We discovered that several of our members had talents that we
didn't know about, causing some serious laughter. Trudi had her bra
frozen again this year, thank goodness she is a good sport.
And some of the girls accidentally caused another member to get sick,
being unaware that startling her in the middle of the night would
cause that, again we apologize and hope you will join us again.

This year we had a welcome gift, a shoppers survival kit,
which was a bag that containing things you just might need
while being out and about:
lotion, hand sanitizer, band aids, safety pins, hair pins, pencils,
small Post it notes, single use floss, single use super glue, nail files,
tampon, mini pad, ZipLoc baggie, pencil sharpener, lip gloss,
toothpicks, salt & pepper, Single use to go pink lemonade, granola bar,
gum and mints all put into a 2009 Swiss Girl Special Edition Bag.

Despite the few mishaps we had a lot of fun.

Heartland Paper Scrappin' Pic's

Yes we are very particular as to where we sit and that we all have our own tables. There is no way that we can share our space. It takes room to create memories.
Alisha scrapping and remembering 9/11.

Hillary and her upright scrapping. I'm not sure how or why she does it but she stand to scrap, and hey you never know when you are going to need salt when you are scrapping. Glad you're prepared
Jen, watch out for her. She is a vicious scrapper. Don't mess with her, she means business. Just ask Hill, as she was stapled in the arm. Ladies this isn't sanitary or safe to staple each other.
Trudi, is a trooper to crop with us. She has been working on her 17x20 scrapbook for who knows how long. She is doing a great job, as long as she has people around to share idea's with her. That's what were hear for. Ask away!
Sharise is always so productive. Always completing more pages than anyone else. She and I are the die hard scrappers, you know staying up until 5 or 6 am to maximize our childless time (because they are all finally asleep). One morning her and I were going to sleep as her oldest daughter was getting up for school and of course because we had been working so hard we were parched, but already in bed. So we texted her to bring us a beverage, and she did. Thanks Brookey!

Beware of Swiss Taco's

Part of initiation was the unkowingly wearing of miscellaneous sayings referring to eating Swiss Taco's and having gas. Loni wore hers until an attendant at the gas station pointed it out to her. Hillary, Jen and Connie lucked out because they left before these were distributed. Thanks for being a good sport Loni!!

It was decided to try out an idea for next year. Giving someone we don't know a Swiss Taco saying. Now this has to be done very carefully as to not alert the possible subject. Here Sharise is scoping out the situation.

Now with the subject selected, we have to wait for just the right moment to apply the sticker.

Done! Sticker applied to unknown person.

Taking a rest

Swiss Fun

The Newbies: Loni, Connie, Jen and Hillary

One of our long time members Mandy, was not able to attend Swiss Girls Day Out because she has a bow business (Bows and Bobbies) that she entered into Swiss Days. So instead of shopping this year she was busy sweating and making sales. We hope she had a very successful weekend, however we don't wish it to be too successful otherwise she might do it again next year instead of coming with us. And we all know which is more fun!!
(I feel like a giant in this bunch, wear bigger shoes girls)

Alisha & Mandy K.

This is Loni, applying the smiley faces on Trudi's toes. There is never
too much fun to be had with the Swiss Girls.

One thing we don't have pictures of but is a hilarious story. While laying in bed and talking Hillary & I (Alisha) heard something outside the window. So we worked our way over in the pitch black to the window to try and see what it was. No luck too dark, so I told Hill to turn on the light, then it was too bright. We decided to go out to the kitchen to look out the window. Flipping on all of the lights accidentally, we made it to the window. I put my head up to the window then turned to see Hillary put her hands up, which scared the crap out of me and made me scream (her hands looked like big animal horns!) I turned to run, ran into her, she ran into a chair all while we were both screaming back to the bedroom. Jen had come out of the bedroom and was hiding to scare us, however Loni had come down and got the scare instead. Momalou was hollering at us to keep it down cuz she was trying to sleep (jokingly of course)it was only 3am. Needless to say we scared the animal off with the lights, screaming and laughing. You had to be there to fully appreciate the situation, it was freaking hilarious!!

While you were sleeping

First off we would like to thank Loni for the use of her cabin, it was perfect!!
It is stated in the pledge that if you go to sleep before one am you are subject to pranks. Hillary and Jen were afraid that their new $50 bra's were going to end up in the freezer so they made sure not to go to sleep before 3:00 am and slept with their bra's in their pillows for protection. Hey you don't want to chance it right.

This is what may happen to you if you fall asleep before one am. Your unmentionables could end up in the freezer for a little crisping up.

As well as getting happy toes (that would be smiley faces on your pretty painted toe nails)
And possibly some art work on your face or toothpaste in your hand with a little tickle in your ear for a minty facial, given by yourself.
